Plasencia Organica-100% Organic Cigars

Pure heaven for a cigar smoker

I believe I have just discovered a little touch of heaven! The title is absolutely correct, the Plasencia Organica brand of cigars are 100% certified organic! I almost fell over when I heard about these.

Every so often, like during a wedding or a graduation, or some other milestone, I like to light up a cigar. Truth be told, I smoke only a few per year, but I do enjoy the taste. Granted, putting smoke into the air isn't the greatest thing to do, but I even have a solution for that. I have an ionic air filter I literally blow the smoke into, and it gets captured on the element, eliminating most of the particulate matter from ever getting into the atmosphere. Ok, that's enough of me trying to justify my smoking an occasional cigar.

The big deal here is all cigars up to this time are grown in fields sprayed with pesticides and other nasty chemicals. If you read my article on green beer, the same situation applies to all the ingredients to make regular beer. Cultivated in fields, sprayed with chemicals, and knowing or not, you are tasting the residue every time you take a sip. Until you drink ‘green' beer, you will never truly know what genuine honest to goodness real beer is supposed to taste like. That's the same with an organic cigar. Let's face it, back before pesticides and chemicals, cigar tobacco was grown and cultivated completely organic.

Most green products cost a bit more than the mainstream version, but these don't cost more than any other premium cigar on the market. That means, you can actually smoke a genuine certified organic cigar for the same price as any other kind.

Needless to say, I am not advocating smoking in any way. But I believe that going green should apply to everything, like bio-fuels, natural clothing, and organics like food, beer and even cigars. Someone obviously echoed these thoughts, and brought to market one of the more unique items to hold a place in the ‘green' movement. Diversity is good, and it now includes a 100 percent organic cigar!

Editor's note: In no way do we want to appear to be condoning smoking. It is Dale's choice to smoke cigars. Not ours.
